Who knows, this may be my last newsletter from France. For I have a feeling that this place, our lovely place La Source, in the valley of Les Labadous, at the foot of that magic village Rennes-le-Chateau, will be sold within the next few months.
I already sent you a mail and newsletter saying that we will not be able to take in groups and provide meals for them next year. We are very sorry but ‘it is as it is’ as they say in France.
However you will be welcome to stay at our place until it is sold. That is if you provide for your own meals. And I will be happy to guide you as long as I am there. And maybe the new owners will honor the reservations you wanted to make for 2016. We will certainly tell them.
Anyway here are the last pictures for 2015. A year where so much has happened. World wide, in specific areas and to lots of different people. All over the world. Drastic changes are taking place everywhere. Some see it as the end of this world, but I see it at the beginning of a new world. And the harsher the fights and atrocities, the more I am convinced that the power hungry, dominant forces are loosing. And are trying desperately to turn the tide.
It looks as if they are now targeting the rising of sacred femininity in the West. With Paris as the traditional heart of sacred femininity. And while everybody is condemning Russia, let u snot forget that it was America who started the ‘revolutions’ and the fighting in the Middle East. And it was America who pumped the whole area full of weapons. Now finally Russia is intervening. I although I am no friend of Russia, I still would still like you to know that Russia has always been kinder to women than the West. Mary Magdalene has been honored there for ages. And Russia did not have an Albigensian Crusade against the Cathars. And there was no Inquisition in Russia. And there were no burnings of witches. It makes you think, doesn’t it?
There were just a few guided tours. And you know what? Mostly by Russian and American women. To all the special places. Let me show you some of the pictures. To the Abbey of St Polycarpe with the magnificent painting of Mary Magdalene, the story of Jesus life, written on a beam and the double roof. To the enigmatic church of St Salvayre. To the ND de Marceille with its Black Madonna, its ‘Voie Sacree and its sacred spring. To Rennes-les-Bains with the Fontaine des Amours and its perfect heart. And with the Trembling Rocks in the forest where time stands still.
To the Cathar castles of Queribus, Peyrepertuse and Montsegur. To the sacred mountains Pech Cardou and Pech Bugarach. To the cave of Perillos in the east and the caves of Baulou in the west. To the Gorges de Galamus and the monastery where one of my friends was allowed to ring the bell. And not to forget to the famous ‘chocolaterie’ in Luc sur Aude.

Nuria in Spain
My dear friend Door and I we like to visit sacred places. Especially places with imposing menhirs and rock formations, with Black Madonna’s and places where Mary Magdalene is honored. And one place was still high on our list, the Black Madonna of Nuria, in Spain high up in the Pyrenees close to the French border. A place where you can only get to by walking or by train, just like Mach Picchu in Peru. A magic place near a lake surrounded by high mountains.
On the way back, in France, we took a back road, a magic road from Amelie-les-Bains to Vinca. We stayed for a while in the magic Chapelle de la Trinite where a priest from Breda is still honored. And look at the powerful door where Door is posing! Then on to Boule d’Amomt that houses a little chapel full of magnificent statues. Among them this Black Madonna that original stayed in the Prieure de Serrabone. Finally, before going home, we visited the famous “Orgues’ de Ille sur Tet.

Clouds and colors
I have always liked the month of October the best. That is here in the south of France. It is outside the high seasons of July and August, the holiday season for parents with their children. It is also outside the preferred holiday season of the ‘seniors’, who like to come in June and September. In October the grapes are harvested, the colors are magnificent, the temperature is good and the land is at peace. Let me show you some wonderful colors and cloud formations.

We are busy repairing the roof, the various wooden beams and several support structures, all with the help of our good friend Maarten. We want Les Labadous to be in perfect condition when we hand her over to the new owners.
In the meantime we enjoy the place as much as we can, as long as we can. A place like this is unique; we will never find anything like it. We will be sorry to go, but we are also privileged to have been the guardians of this place for all those years.
In November I had an operation on my elbow. The result of a bad accident 20 years ago when I was sailing, in a sailing yacht, on the North Sea. This is where I broke my elbow in wind force 10 during a sudden gibe as a result of a freak wave. Now the nerves in my elbow were squeezing the muscles of my hand. Fortunately the operation was a success.

Orbs and strange light phenomena
It is not yet the season for Orbs to appear in their full glory. That would be during heavy rainfall, dense mist and thunderstorms. During the end of autumn and in wintertime. Or maybe the Orbs are waiting for the translation of my Dutch eBook ‘De Orbs Evolutie’ into American. It will be one of my next projects. Anyway I still have some Orb pictures for you as well as some strange light phenomena.

Visit to Holland
As you know I always go, most of the time twice a year, to the Netherlands. To have my car maintained. To go to my publisher and my accountant. To visit my children and grand children. To see my friends. To eat in an Indonesian restaurant and to do some shopping.
When I was a bit younger I drove in one day from Les Labadous to Holland, or vice versa, but not any more. Now I always make a stop. Preferably at special places, places where I haven’t been or where I want to go again. As I did this year.
I stopped in Langres, between Dijon and Nancy. One of the 50 most beautiful cities of France. Built on a hill and surrounded by huge walls. Look at the cathedral, outside and inside, with Orb, and look at the sunrise early next morning. Indeed a special place, even if it’s a bit touristic.
In Holland I always stay at the bungalow park Bloemketerp in Franeker. And I have been cautiously looking for a house for me once Les Labadous will be sold. How about this typical Frisian house on a ‘terp’ (a little hill, close to a cemetery. Very quiet. On the way back we visited Brugge, in Belgium. What a beautiful city. It is one huge UNESCO World Heritage site. And the Belgians still know how to make beer!
Driving back home I had to stop at Rouen, the city where Jeanne d’Arc was burned alive. See the cathedral memorizing her as a saint and see the little statue of her burning in the fire.

Finally my book ‘Men are different’ and my book ‘Jamie and Mary Magdalene’ will be out at Amazon.com. The Men are Different book a translation of my Dutch book ‘Verschil moet er zijn.’ It has some new and several adapted chapters. My book Jamie and Mary Magdalene is a new version of my book Jamie on his cloud, this time with a new title and with color pictures. I also took out the rape scene and references in order to make it more acceptable as a children’s book.

Jaap, I am so sorry to hear it has been such a rough year, and I am so glad your surgery went well. May you heal well. Thank you so much for sharing Les Labadous and taking such great care with it. Our thoughts are with you through this difficult time.
Oh Jaap, how sad about Les Labadous. Who is buying it? Where will you go? Where will Joka and Franklin go? And what about the place that Tom Kenyon owns? Nicolya always said that Les Labadous would choose its new buyers. Do you think it did? Yes, the world is changing dramatically. Thank you for the brief part you played in mine.
